KOSE SEKKISEI Lotion Review + Giveaway

Hello my lovelies

It is time for another review and my first giveaway! So read till the end to find out more.

A few days ago I was contacted and asked if I would be interested to review a product, plus a chance to do a giveaway. Are you kidding me? And I get to giveaway stuff for my beautiful readers? Of course I would hahaha!

Anyway, I new about Kosé a long time ago and it is one of the best Japanese skincare brand out there in the market. You know how Japanese women are when it comes to skincare .. they only want the best,  so I can only say that Kosé will ensure that ONLY the best ingredients will go into their glorious blue bottles. So you can imagine my excitement. Can’t wait to try the product most definitely!

Now this was what I collected *excited plus doing the happy dance*. Yes, it is the Sekkisei Lotion.

A little bit of education on Sekkisei Lotion shall we?

The range
The Kosé Sekkisei range is a whitening range that is recommended for beauties whose skin concerns are dullness, dryness which contributes to roughness in skin texture and dark spots.

It is formulated using Japanese and Chinese herbal extracts as the main ingredients, carefully selected from approximately 100 types of oriental plants; creating the ‘beautiful translucent skin recipe’.

The 3 main ingredients are:

Coix Seed
Coix Seed extract is said to have effects such as increasing skin metabolism, whitening, moisturization, and prevention of skin roughness.

Melothria ( White Lotus) extract according to the Chinese prescription medicine book WaitaiBiyao Fang (“Arcane Essentials from the Imperial Library Formulary”) states that Melothria has whitening effects on the skin. It works by suppressing melanin production.

Angelica extract on the other hand is often used in bath liquids and has disinfecting, whitening, and moisturizing effects.

About Kosé Sekkisei Lotion

This cloudy white lotion when used:
1.     creates fine-textured skin that is hydrated and translucent like snow.
2.     balances out the skin’s moisture levels, preventing dullness, roughness, and pimples caused by dryness, as well as redness caused by sunburn from sunlight, or by the sun’s reflection in snowy areas.
3.     blends instantly into the skin, just like melting snow, creating fine
textured, plumped skin. With a refreshing, light sensation, the lotion leaves the surface of the skin feeling silky smooth, yet hydrated. The skin regains its natural pure translucency down to the pores.
This lotion can be used on your face, neck, body and as a mask.

This lotion is best used as a mask as it offers superb moisture (10 times higher than without using lotion mask) to skin to give a lustre you have never known before.

The benefits?

The 9 benefits of Sekkisei Lotion

 Using it as a mask
As I have shown earlier I was given a pocket mask readily soaked in Sekkisei Lotion.

The Mask

Unfolded mask

First, I started with a freshly cleansed face

Freshly cleansed face
Secondly, I unfold the mask and put it on my face as I would do with any sheet mask. When I put it on my face, I felt instant coolness. It was so invigorating. Heaven!

Hahaha i look like Casper!

Thirdly, leave it on for 5-10 minutes.

I left it for 10 minutes
Forthly, I took the mask off after the recommended time. I dab the excess into my skin until it is absorbed, no rinsing is necessary. It doesn't leave a sticky residue which is awesome. My skin felt so soft and smooth as if I have just scrubed it.

This is my before and after picture:
Before                                  After

As you can see my skin looked clearer. That was a pleasant surprise! Normally your skin will look bright after cleansing because of the moisture that still lingers on your skin surface so how can your skin looked any brighter, right? But it did! It means that this mask gives even more hydration and brightens the skin making it translucent.

The recommended use of this lotion mask is 2-3 times a week. Can you imagine what your skin will look like if you religiously do it 2-3 times a week? Yup, you will get that beautiful translucent, fine-textured skin of your dream.

I am happy with the results.
